I think perhaps I have too much time on my hands, but here's my question: Is there a way to view older posts other than the "view more posts" at the bottom of the page, which only goes back a bit? I know I can click on a posters' name and go to a page that archives their posts pretty far back, and then "see parent post" etc.

Anyhow, no matter what era each of you may promote or condemn, it is good to know you are here. I was a bit intimidated for a long time, but joining wasn't so bad afterall. And some of the comedic interactions are quite priceless, I must say.

Thanks, vapors.

Well, I dunno...I use the search function (using "AND" with clues like "LiA", "best", and "Dark Star" to find his tome on that little ditty...so, certainly, searching is a good way to find particular topics. Be sure to select "Forum" as the the searched entity of course...

Then again, you can just always click on my name to read the most worthwhile, informative, and otherwise topnotch posts at the Forum, eh?

Hmmm, your reply doesn't smell like sarcasm, though I assumed my arrogance warranted only that...

So, in that case, thanks! BTW, congrats on the damn funny "French retreat" reply down below somewheres!

Have to say, though, they get a bad rap in that department(in spite of the truth to some famous events)...many of the most inspired defences of WWI were French and French alone (Verdun, etc.).

No sarcasm intended. Jokes on the French are just to hard to turn down. Like they use to wear red coats so the enemy could not see when they were bleeding thus explains why they wore brown pants also.

Well, see? There is something redeeming about someone interested in expanding their knowledge base, eh? As for the red-neck aspect, he just may not have access to SPF 50 like the rest of us, and considers soft cheese too smelly a substitute...

The faux frog is familiar with the predominantly American term "redneck", yet doesn't know what SPF is.

Nor does he know what beaujolais nouveau is or the significance of the third Thursday of November throughout his alleged "homeland".

Standing by for a flurry of contrived typos and gibberish.

Thanks for the compliment. Really the only thing that I know for sure about the French is they were the first to "WAVE THEIR HANDS IN THE AIR LIKE THEY JUST DONT CARE".

Just to get this off my chest this is a quote from Hunter’s song “France”, albeit a verse that didn’t appear in the Dead’s version on Shakedown Street.

Probably not a favorite album of some here, but I was just trying some sarcasm on monsieur cieux.

The Dead never played it live. A lover of words and searcher of meaning, I can look at some of the lyric and relate it to my personal experience with the boys.
